Artist’s Statement
I use paint to tell stories built of form, space and light.
The self-contained tableaus are highly structured, sparse and tonal. They are secret worlds of pathos and numen.
My voice is archaic. It does not recognize the gloss and distraction of modern life. It looks to find itself in the being-ness of things and the presence of light.
