December Juried Show

Why Is Reality?

October 31 to December 1

Mary Ann Bowman, Margaret Nelson, and Diana Ozolins depict their experience of life through their own perception, imagination, and humor. Bowman works with clay, fabric and found objects. Imagination and her sense of humor inspire her creations. Working with acrylic on canvas, Ozolins paints her surroundings and the people nearby. Nelson, an artist working with a variety of media including watercolor and digital, draws on her extensive knowledge of nature and the creatures living there.

There will be an opening reception Friday, November 1, 5–8pm.

Plein air painting

Gallery member Austin McRae has started a plein air (outdoor) painting group.The group meets at various locations to paint together and is open to anyone. For more information email Austin.

Look Club

Katrina Morse, Patty Brown, and Carol Spence will be hosting Look Club at the gallery every second Sunday, 2–3 to look at the artwork on display. Learn about different types of artwork and how to talk about art. What do you see? How does it resonate with you? The next Look Club will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2–3.

Touch of Fall by Annemiek Haralson

Annemiek has 16 small paintings in the exhibition Mosaic 2024 at 171 Cedar Arts Center in Corning. This is a juried exhibition with works from 20 regional artists. The exhibit will run from November 8 through December 14. The opening reception is Friday, November 8, 5:00–7:00.
